Job Overview

Boomtown Design is seeking an experienced and skilled carpenter / installer to join our team dedicated to creating exceptional cabinetry, millworks and furnishings for high-end custom homes and commercial spaces. This candidate will be an organized individual who can work in a fast-paced environment while staying focused on the task at hand.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Carpenter with the installation of custom cabinetry, millworks and furnishings according to project specifications and timelines.

  • Assist Lead Carpenter and Lead Woodworker with the processing of parts and assembly of cabinets and other products.

  • Assist Lead Carpenter with production and installation logistics to maximize efficiency and maintain high quality craftsmanship.

  • Load, unload, transport, and organize building materials both in shop and onsite.

  • Set-up and maintain a clean and safe work environment both in shop and onsite.

  • Perform fundamental tasks under supervision, such as measuring, marking, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials using shop equipment as well as hand and power tools.

  • Communicate effectively with Lead Carpenter, leadership and other project team members to ensure clarity and accuracy in project execution.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the installation process.

  • Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of finish / trim carpentry experience, with a focus on installing cabinets and custom millworks in high-end residential or commercial spaces.

  • Proven ability to work in a team setting, with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing project demands while maintaining a high level of professionalism and craftsmanship.

  • Strong working knowledge of construction materials, means and methods, and best practices.

  • Must be able to read and accurately interpret shop and production drawings.

  • Ability to do basic math and read a tape measure.

  • Ability to repeatedly complete tasks accurately and efficiently, production-minded.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift items weighing 75 lbs or more.

  • Punctual, reliable and presentable.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and clean driving record.

  • Ability to recognize and execute safe work habits.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Professional references and background checks required.
